Rotary die: commonly used in the printing, packaging, and sticker industries to refer to a thin, circular die used in rotary die-cutting machines. Applications: used for die-cutting decal labels, flexible packaging, electronic components, medical, automation, and thin roll-form materials. Advantages: high precision, fast running speed, easy die change, lower cost than solid dies, sharp die-cutting, and suitable for large-scale production.

Solid Rotary Dies are machined from a single piece of solid steel, offering very high precision and durability. They are often ground and hardened with coatings like chrome or tungsten carbide. The manufacturing cost is high and time-consuming, but the lifespan is very long, capable of cutting tens to hundreds of millions of impressions. These dies are suitable for thick, hard, multi-layered materials like cardboard, industrial adhesive tapes, engineering materials, and electronic components. The advantages are extreme durability, long-lasting accuracy, and suitability for continuous large-scale production, but the disadvantages are high cost, difficulty in repair, heavy weight, and inflexibility when design changes are needed.
